I have the D800 and LOVE it! Especially now that Lightroom etc. has caught up with being able to recognize and handle the files. Although I consider myself an 'enthusiast' and most would think the D800 is too much camera for my skills. I really wanted something I could grow with. The price of the D4 was prohibitive especially since it meant new memory card format and new memory card reader etc.
So far i only have prime lenses Nikon 50mm, 60mm and 85mm but the resolution allows me to take a photograph and crop the heck out of it and still have a useful, detailed image.
The D800 wish list.
1. Tethered Shooting (will need to revisit now that Lightroom has gone through an upgrade)
2. built in wireless technology
3. Network capability
