**UPDATE - I contacted OWC customer support. They had me export logs from the system, then advised me to change to a different disk speed test for more accurate results.... but no help on the speed issue itself - despite me repeatedly asking. FWIW - the second speed test they asked me to use resulted in even slower performance of 524MB/SEC write and 1580 MB/SEC read.
